Dog Play Days

Play is Educational

Play is Therapeutic

Play is Joyful

Play is ESSENTIAL!

Here at The Dog Play Centre, we understand how dogs need to play. We have studied canine play, how it develops confidence in dogs and how much dogs can learn by having the opportunity to play with other dogs. However, dogs will only play if they feel safe and secure and this is why we wanted to offer a premium form of day care. Smaller groups, qualified and dedicated staff who will work with each dogs individual care plan to provide the best care for your dog. Every dog is different and we appreciate and want to nurture that at The Play Centre.

We know how to provide appropriate games for different breeds of dogs and for dogs of different ages. We understand that not all dogs can play with every dog and take time to assess and group dogs with others who match in personality and temperament.

We have a secure one-acre site, divided into separate learning and play areas. For quieter times we have a warm, dry, comfortable building with sofas and a separate snoozy room. On weekends and evenings these areas provide training spaces for pet dog classes and courses for the professional dog trainer.

For your convenience we offer a collection and drop off service around West Lothian and the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh.

Dog Behaviourist Clare Russell DipCABT offers private behaviour consultations, classes and 1:1 training.

Dog Behaviour Consultant and Trainer, Lisa Haydon can help you get your puppy off to a great start or help your sensitive dog feel more comfortable with other dogs by offering mini socialisation sessions, appropriate play sessions, 1:1 behaviour consults and classes.

We believe we can provide your dog with a unique play and learning experience and recommend that you make an appointment to pay us a visit during opening hours.
